OTDR & Testing
A fibre link is only finished when the measurement proves it. We test new and existing links with OTDR and attenuation test sets, document every event and hand over a report you can work with — for acceptance, fault clarification or as-built records.

What's included
- OTDR measurements (backscatter) with event analysis
- Red-light (VFL) checks for quick visual verification of links and connectors
- Insertion loss measurements (LSPM / power meter)
- Acceptance testing to standard for new builds and extensions
- As-built and condition surveys before takeovers or conversions
- Fault location: distance to the event accurate to the metre
- Complete test reports as PDF — archivable and auditable
How it works
- 1
Test concept
We define with you what is measured: wavelengths, direction(s), limit values and the form of documentation.
- 2
Measurement
Testing with referenced instruments and matching launch fibres — clean and repeatable.
- 3
Report & advice
You receive the complete report. We explain anomalies in plain language and propose actions.
Frequently asked questions
Do you also test links built by others?
Yes — independent verification and acceptance testing is part of our daily work, including a clear assessment of the results.
What does the test report contain?
Per fibre: link length, total attenuation, events (splices, connectors, bends) with position and value, plus the measurement parameters used.
Can you find hidden faults?
With the OTDR we locate breaks, poor splices and macrobends to the metre — the basis for a targeted repair.
